Using the System
Information for authors: Elaborately describe every function and/or feature including detailed characteristics of the required input and the output produced by the system. Describe each function/feature under its own subsection heading, 5.1-5.x, where it precisely corresponds to the system functions and/or features specified in certain subsections of the present document. Add screen captures to highlight examples where necessary. If applicable, this part of the User Guide could simply be customized and adapted to the roles of the target users.
Provide subsections, if applicable, outlining the system's preprogrammed and/or non-standard inquiry and recovery options as well as corresponding processes the user must follow (e.g., step-by-step control instructions for retrieving query requests from the database). Highlight the query title/code and any query parameters the user would need to run the query.
Add subsections to explain and present any standard and/or ad hoc reporting functions accessible to the end-user as well as any relevant instructions the users should follow if applicable. Indicate formats for each available report as well as the definition of each field displayed in the report and any particular formats associated with ad hoc reports that users may have the option to generate. Give specific instructions on how to run and print the various reports available. Indicate output procedures specifications that describe its formats, aim, frequency, options, media, and location.
The following subsections provide detailed, step-by-step instructions on how to use the various functions or features of the <System Name and/or Acronym>.
