Having built products at companies like Amazon and Meta, and led engineering teams across startups in multiple countries, I've seen firsthand how even the best teams struggle with one thing: getting knowledge out of people's heads and into their users' hands.
Documentation was always the bottleneck — fragmented tools, broken collaboration, and end-users who were completely forgotten in the process. Teams across departments — writers, developers, marketers, legal — would fight over content in scattered docs, and the result rarely served anyone well.
I founded Sonat to fix this. We took the best practices from software engineering — version control, collaboration workflows, continuous deployment — and made them accessible to anyone who creates content. No technical skills required.
