Title Background Color

Title Background Color adds a colored band across the full width of the page behind a topic's title. Use it to color-code sections so readers can tell at a glance which part of a manual they are in, for example blue for operating procedures and red for emergency procedures.

Color a topic's title

1. Open a rich text topic in the editor.
2. In the toolbar, open Title background, next to the text highlight color.
3. Pick one of the 20 colors, from whites and grays to bright colors and soft tints.

To remove the band, open Title background and select Remove background.

The band appears in the viewer and in PDF exports. It applies to the topic's title only, not to other headings, and it is available only for rich text topics.

If you uninstall it

Existing title bands stay in the viewer and in PDFs, even when you edit the topic. The Title background button disappears, so you can't change or remove a band until you install the addon again.
