This update brings translations that speak your company's language, a refreshed editor that's faster to find your way around, and a more capable AI Assistant. Here's everything that's new.

New features

Translation glossaries

Upload a glossary sheet or add terms right in the app, and every translation will use your approved wording for product names and key terms. You can pick the source language, see the translation's progress as it runs, and with one click let AI tidy up the grammar of a translated topic while keeping your terms intact.

“Search or go to…” from anywhere

A new search box in the top bar takes you straight to any document, topic, page, or setting. Just start typing — and if you don't know the exact name, it suggests related pages too.

A refreshed, easier-to-navigate editor

The editor has a new look: a collapsible sidebar that keeps everything one click away, a consistent header on every page, a single clean design for every “New…” dialog, and refreshed home, profile, and topic settings screens.

Notifications you can actually manage

The redesigned notifications panel and page group updates by month, filter by type or unread, show your unread count, and let you mark everything as read in one click.

A new Variables experience

Variables now have their own page with a simple list and editor. In the editor, just type or paste a variable's code in double curly braces and it becomes the variable automatically — or pick one from the new Insert variable dialog with a live preview.

All reader feedback in one place

A new organization-wide Feedback page collects what readers say across all your documents, with search and filters so you can spot what to improve first.

Proofread any topic with AI

A new Proofread button reviews any topic with AI and suggests fixes you can check before accepting. Available as an Enterprise add-on.

Improvements

• A more capable AI Assistant — the assistant now shows each step as it works and what it changed, plans larger projects with you before writing, can read a public web page you point it to, organizes folders and topics, and has a Stop button that stops right away.
• Ask AI straight from search — readers can ask the AI directly from the search box and continue the conversation in chat.
• A print button for readers — readers can print any page with a clean, print-friendly layout. You control the button with its own on/off setting.
• Beautiful PDFs in Chinese, Japanese, and Korean — PDF exports now use proper fonts for Chinese, Japanese, and Korean content.
• Tables look the way you designed them — table borders, styles, and images inside table cells now appear exactly as you set them, in the editor, your published docs, and PDF exports.
• Smoother Google Docs workflow — choose the language when importing a Google Doc, reuse docs you've already imported, and see renames sync to Sonat automatically.
• Assistant widget for private docs — the SaaS Assistant Widget can now answer from private documentation, using a share link you control.
• More room on every plan — your topic limit now counts only published topics, so drafts and work in progress never hold you back. Business plans also get a choice of AI models, including GPT-5.6 Luna.

Bug fixes

• Reader feedback everywhere — readers can now leave feedback on every topic, including standalone topics.
• Language stays put — after switching language, navigating the sidebar keeps readers in their chosen language.
• Headings link precisely — repeated and non-Latin headings now get their own readable links.
• Links open where you expect — the “Open links in new tab” setting is now always respected.
• Clearer save messages — if someone else saved a topic while you were editing, you're offered a one-click Refresh.
